Founded in 2010, Paws at Play has proudly served Vancouver’s Westside and beyond by providing trusted, professional care for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Over the years, we’ve become a trusted name in reliable dog care, known for our focus on safety, consistency, and genuine love for dogs. In July 2025, Steph and Lauren took over ownership, bringing fresh energy and new ideas to create safe, fun, and exciting adventures where every dog can explore, socialize, and just have an awesome time.

Meet The Paws Team

Great service starts with great people. Our team is made up of experienced, compassionate dog lovers who take pride in delivering consistent, trustworthy care — and plenty of tail wags along the way.

Steph

Owner & Operations

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Steph has been working professionally with dogs for over six years, experienced in obedience training and behaviour modification. Before moving to Vancouver, she played football for the University of Sydney and worked on the Seagull Patrol Team training and handling bird deterrent dogs at iconic locations like the Sydney Opera House and Cockatoo Island. Now based in Vancouver, Steph leads the team and oversees all operations at Paws At Play.

Lauren

Owner & Finances

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Lauren is the newest addition to the Paws at Play team and brings a sharp financial mind, and a big heart for animals to the table. She holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia and is currently working as a Financial Software Specialist. She now also supports Paws At Play behind the scenes ensuring the business runs smoothly. Outside of spreadsheets and systems, Lauren enjoys travelling, and spending time with her furry family; 2 dogs, 2 cats and a horse!

Leanne

Walker

Originally from Carlow, Ireland, Leanne has been a dedicated part of the Paws At Play team for nearly six years. Over the years, Leanne has walked dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments, and is known for her reliability and dog-handling expertise. Her years of experience and knowledge of each dog’s unique personality make her an invaluable member of the Paws Team. She brings genuine, personalized care to each and every dog in her pack.

Valentina

Walker

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Valentina is a biologist with a with a deep interest in caring for the planet and the living organisms that inhabit it. Valentina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Masters in Marine Biology, from Andes University, Colombia, bringing a unique depth of knowledge and care to everything she does here at Paws At Play. She loves exploring new places in Vancouver and spending time adventuring with her pack. Valentina has an attentive approach to animal care, and is always tuned in to every dog’s needs.

Siobhan

Walker

Originally from Cork, Ireland, Siobhan moved to Vancouver to enjoy the great outdoors. Since joining Paws at Play, she has become a valued member of the team, known for her calm, reliable presence and genuine love for dogs. She holds a degree in Social Care Work from Technological University of the Midlands and brings a thoughtful, compassionate approach to every walk. With plenty of experience working with dogs, Siobhan is confident leading her packs and always ensures they’re safe, happy, and engaged—on and off the trails. When she’s not out with her pups, she enjoys discovering new hiking trails and connecting with friends.

Sina

Walker

Originally from Iran, Sina moved to Vancouver over four years ago in search of new experiences and a more active lifestyle. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and brings a thoughtful, reliable approach to everything he does. Sina grew up with two German shepherds and eight rescued cats an experience that shaped his calm, caring nature. Spending time with our dogs brings him a sense of joy and peace, which he brings to every adventure at Paws at Play. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, playing video games, and watching movies and TV series.
