Requirements & Getting Started
For the health, safety, and comfort of all dogs in our care, we require the following:
General Requirements for Group Walks Only
– Must have a strong recall (only if you require off-leash walks) – Basic leash manners – Must be licensed with the City of Vancouver – Well socialized with other dogs and people – No history of aggression – Spayed or neutered – Ability to ride calmly in a car – Up to date on all core vaccinations – Active flea/parasite control
Additional Requirements for Weekend Adventures Only
– Must have a strong recall – Must be able to swim
Paws at Play Dog Walking Inc. reserves the right to decline group services if a dog shows signs of aggression, persistent behavioral issues, or is not a good fit for group settings.

Cancellations
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a full-service charge.
Your Security
House keys are kept in a secure location and are maintained with an intricate coding system. In addition, addresses and phone numbers are never attached to house keys and security systems.
What Happens Next?
Once you’ve signed up and submitted your intake form, we’ll be in touch to schedule a free meet and greet and a trial walk. This helps us get to know your pup, ensure they’re a good fit for our services, and answer any questions you may have. It’s the first step in building a safe, fun, and trusting relationship — for both you and your dog!
Note: We do our best to respond within 24–48 hours during business hours. If it’s the weekend, we’re likely out on an adventure — but we’ll be back with you as soon as possible.
